During the pandemic, I threw my hat into the fiction ring. I’ve had the idea for a while, to create a near future world where the government has legalized vigilantism. Over the lockdown, I finally finished the novel I always had in me, Capesters. If you’re a comic book fan, check it out!

I found this book to be fascinating! Mr. Bielagus keeps you on the edge of your seat as a reader! I was thoroughly involved from the first page to the last page. And it is certainly a challenging thing to keep a reader invested in the whole story. Mr. Bielagus tends to do this the whole 9 yards here. I’ve always been a Batman fan! And I’ve always been interested in vigilanteeism! The world that he creates is pretty amazing! I always love investigations and I’ve always love mysteries!
I recommend this book to anybody! And was also cool about it is this definitely could be where America could be headed! Or certainly a possible outcome, which is also interesting to entertain and think about.

A refreshing and unique look at the world of superheroes that you don't usually see. Crime fiction with capes. Superheroes in the real world - not a parallel world or far in the future, but one that is as close to our reality as a superhero story could be. I look forward to more books in this cinematic series, both for the characters and also to learn more about this unique world.

Impatiently waiting for the next installment!
Great book! Peter does an amazing job with pacing and the reveling of information that keeps you guessing and questioning your own thought process. A book that tows the line between where we are now in society and where we might be heading. Author balances the ideas of justice, ethics, morality, the legal system, and public opinion into a book that has you thinking about your own views on what is right vs what is legal. Anxious for the next installment!

I couldn't put this book down and HAD to find out how it ended! Typically, when I try to read, I easily get distracted and have a hard time staying focused. But with Capesters, I couldn't get enough of it!
Peter has done something brilliant by creating a distinctly new-world with a unique premise. Blending themes about: superheroes, the future, detective drama, and mystery. I blazed through this and can't wait for the next one.
I love fiction, sci-fi, and futuristic books and have read many of them. Never have I seen another book with these core concepts and premise.
This book is innovative, fun to read, creates a vivid, futuristic world, and will keep you guessing until the very end.
I loved this book and can't wait for Peter to release the next one.

Vigilante stories are not necessarily my first choice, but this read changed my mind. I love crime drama and thrills- this read will keep you on the edge of your seat. It also introduces interesting questions about what can happen if vigilante heroes became a for-profit market. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Set in a perfectly plausible near future world, Capesters is flawlessly written to keep the reader (me!) eagerly turning from chapter to chapter to see what happens next and trying to solve the overriding mystery.
Learning that this is Peter Bielagus’ first fiction book is hard to believe as it was clear he went to painstaking effort to make sure each detail in the book was accounted for.
Well done, and I can’t wait for the second book!
